Description of Enhance Mobility and Safety with Jonti-Craft Up-N-Down Steps

KYDZSafe edges - Each and every one of our edges and corners are rounded to a minimum of a 1 inch radius, allowing children to play safely without getting hurt by sharp edges and corners. KYDZStrong construction - at Jonti-Craft, we employ dowel-pin construction. This technique is stronger than the dado joints used by other companies and prevents weakening at the joint, where most stress occurs and extends lifetime by 50%. KYDZTuff finish - It's an ultravoilet acrylic coating that's as tough as the finish on bowling lanes and is enviromentally friendly too! It's an ultra-durable finish that resists yellowing and extra-strong resistance for daily wear. Stationary.

Professional design and functionality

Very strong and durable. It has weight, so it is difficult for them to maneuver. I bought this for my mom to have the ease of a step stool with handles. In case I'm not around to help put things away or get out of hard-to-reach closets. She loves it and she is 81 years old. i love it too No more pulling out kitchen chairs!

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Safe and beautiful ladder

My almost two year old granddaughter loves being a kitchen hand and it has been a great success for her and our children (and her grandmother). She can hop in and out safely, and when she's not helping to stir something to eat, she's happily measuring and draining the beans and pasta her parents keep at the end of the kitchen counter. It is a well designed item and takes up space, but if you have the space your child will love it and you will appreciate how beautifully made it is.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great product, only the bumper is missing.

Great product - the only thing missing is a bumper that attaches to the vertical side panels and is easily adjustable in height. If you use it without legs to approach a kitchen worktop, the side panels will touch the wood cabinets and may damage them. However, due to the rounded edges, none of the typical clear rubber bumpers stay in place. I'm thinking of making a small U-profile that slides over the side panel and has some felt on the flat side facing the kitchen cabinets.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great furniture stool

I've tried other stools and I'm sure they work, but I wanted something durable so kids in preschool could wash their hands and help them in the kitchen. I wanted something strong and secure and something that wouldn't take up much space. I had previously bought a cheaper stool and the kids would fall and on impact it would move and cause problems. I spent money on it hoping for something better than others on the market and I'm so glad I did. My kids can use this, 2 at a time, and it works…

Our son loves it; Well made product

One of the best purchases we've made for our new baby who is always active and loves to look out all the windows of our new home. We also use this on our kitchen island and another countertop next to the stove so he can see us "cook, cook". We gave him a toddler-sized chopping board, cooking utensils, and woody fruit that can be "cut" into pieces. He *loves* being up on the kitchen island and "cooking" with Mom and Dad. It's well done; We're pleased - esp. Nice that there aren't any rough spots

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great product for kids furniture

We have had these steps for a couple of years now - currently being used by a 16 month old and a 3 year old to access the sink. The small plates pictured, which are screwed to the sides at the bottom of the unit, stick out too far and could hit the base cabinet, but we just didn't use them and they work great. I'm sure they are there to prevent the unit from tipping forward in other situations, but in this case the entire unit rests against the cabinet eliminating the need for legs. The sizes…

Such a great idea, but I need one more step, baby.

I still give 5 stars, but I have to wait a little longer before I can use it. My 1 year old is good at climbing and loves to "help" in the kitchen, like putting dishes in the sink and washing her hands but that's not enough for her so we have another easy one Stool used which is higher but lacks safety features. I wish it had one more step, maybe a removable or extra element so it could be used from an earlier age, but at least I know I'll be making use of this for many years to come as it gets

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • No automatic

Quality product in children's furniture

I bought these steps about a year ago and they are still going. My toddler uses them to reach the sink to brush her teeth/wash her hands and to reach the counter to help me prepare meals. She never had a problem climbing or descending stairs, not only thanks to the curved side supports but also the steps. The wood is well polished; no sharp corners at all. We can use steps with floor supports (in front of the sink where there is no base cabinet underneath) and without floor supports (when…

Large, stable step stool with handrails.

This "kids ladder" is awesome. Our 18 month old became addicted to hand washing and it was becoming too difficult to keep him through the process so we did a lot of research and bought this step stool. We liked the wide, deep steps and handrails. Like him. He feels stable and secure enough to climb up, wash his hands (using the Aqueduck faucet extender) and come back down. The stairs are big enough for him to turn around and walk forward if he wants instead of backing down. Handrails also make…
