As many reviewers before me have said, this thing runs on batteries (2 AA). A few hours at most (I never timed it). But for my young son whose back is (and mostly is) sweaty in the car seat, it's great! Just attach a car seat (or stroller, high chair, etc.) to the handlebars and align it with your head (body cooler) and it really makes a difference. The foam sheets are also good for his little fingers, although they will stay curled for a while if you don't put a fan on the sheets. It hasn't broken in a few months. The neck flexes and reaches the front of the clip without touching the fan blades. TIP: Keep a dozen AA batteries in your car.
