Fits 5th generation 4Runner directly on the edge of the hood facing the window. Easy installation; Simply poke a calculated hole through the grommet (I used an Xacto knife), thread the zip tie that connects to this coax cable, apply some lube to support the cable, then pull it out . The coax cable/connector held up well; I had to work really hard to thread it through the sleeve and pull from the other side. Works perfectly with a 2m/70cm Tram quarter wave antenna. A rain cover is also worthwhile. With this attitude, the SWR was just great out of the box.
