Well done. First check your trunk.

Bracket and coax are weatherproof and well made. The coaxial cable is rg58au which is the most flexible but most flexible for mobile installations. The set screws were too long for my Camry and hit the glass from underneath, so I went to the hardware store and bought shorter ones that worked. Tip: Check the trunk first if you have a flat surface, the antenna isn't touching the rear window, and there's room for set screws. New cars are not well suited for antennas.

Setscrews too long

Excellent attachment after tightening the setscrews. The bracket itself was not thin enough to fit through the trunk lid seam and had to be attached to the front (window side) of the trunk. The problem was that the set screws were so long that they could break the window. After a few seconds with an angle grinder and a file everything worked out. I wish they had shorter set screws instead of having to work to fit them. Otherwise a solid mount and no problems after installation.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Easy installation; just poke the calculated hole through the sleeve.

Fits 5th generation 4Runner directly on the edge of the hood facing the window. Easy installation; Simply poke a calculated hole through the grommet (I used an Xacto knife), thread the zip tie that connects to this coax cable, apply some lube to support the cable, then pull it out . The coax cable/connector held up well; I had to work really hard to thread it through the sleeve and pull from the other side. Works perfectly with a 2m/70cm Tram quarter wave antenna. A rain cover is also…

Pleased with the available NMO lip mount

Excellent trunk lip mount. Have had it for over 6 months. Worked well for a Bofeng install and works well for my Wouxun KG-UV920 install. I don't see any discoloration or rust on it yet. It was outside in the rain and works perfectly afterwards. FYI, 17 feet is way too long and if you use coax every 17 feet you're wasting a lot of power. I cut the coax to 1.5 feet and installed my rig in my battery case and my signal is much better. If 20 watts go through 17 feet of this RG58 you will lose 3-4…

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Negative impression

I installed this on the trunk of a 1999 Toyota Avalon. The bracket fits snugly on the lip of the trunk and I was careful to expose bare metal where the two Allen screws made contact with the lip. I planned to use it with a low frequency whip (Browning BR-140-B) for 10m. After installation, I tried to tune the antenna using the RigExpert AA-55 antenna analyzer. That's when the problems started. When delivered, the antenna should be resonant at around 26.5 MHz. In fact, the lowest SWR, around…
