Update; Well I washed it in the dishwasher and I have to say I didn't notice any difference. It was the same, none of the discolored areas (from use and age) looked lighter or newer so I can't say it made a difference at all. The jury is out at the moment as the product has not been boxed or protected in any way and does not look like the image shown here. I'll try but as it looks different than pictured and nothing protects the wax plug other than a sticker saying it's what's underneath I'll never know if it will fit. I will update after use if there is any difference. I received two, but I want the sellers to use photos of the actual items they are selling.
