Review on πŸ“· Fujifilm XF 90mm F2 R LM WR Lens by Kim Chong ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

I use with x-t2, I think this is the best portrait lens for the fuji system for outdoor use. The minimum focusing distance is only 0.6 meters, which allows you to get decent macro photographs of flowers and plants, as well as any living creatures, that are unique in volume. At the same time, aperture of 2.0 in combination with a full-frame equivalent focal length of 135mm allows you to get excellent, perspective-distortion-free portraits, both large and full-length. The result is always excellent and predictable. I took it in addition to 56mm 1.2 and I can say with confidence that for the street and walking you simply cannot find the best for the fuji system! 56 1.2 is also a great tool, but it can already be used indoors. Compared to 56 1.2, 90 2.0 has much faster and more accurate focusing, as well as ringing sharpness already from an open aperture. I also note that for full-length portraits it is better to choose 90 2.0, and for work in low light conditions - 56 1.2. If someone doubts that it is better to choose 56 or 90, there is no definite answer. I decided for myself that both lenses are gorgeous and a creative photographer should have both. Also, having a 55-200 zoom, and also looking at photos from 50-140 2.8, I can definitely say that none of them will give you what 90 2.0 does. Add weatherproofing and superb, lightning-fast focusing to this bunch of goodies, and you have the perfect tool! 90 2.0 has become a favorite from the first frames, and the desire to use 55-200 zoom is less and less. So if you are choosing between 55-200 and 90 2.0, I definitely recommend choosing the second one! Well, on to your tasks! All great shots!
