I thought I might have to put something heavy on the base to keep it from tipping over. No way! This thing is heavy. I bought this to watch movies on my 8 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and putting this tablet on this stand is like chasing a rabbit with an elephant gun. The only thing that the buyer should pay attention to is the size. My 8" tablet is almost too small for the 'jaws' of the mount. This may not work on a 7" tablet. I think for a 10" tablet it's just what you need. The last part of the arm swings freely so I can just move it to the side and get out of bed.I spend a lot of time in bed due to health issues and holding the tablet for the duration of a movie can be very painful.I am very happy with my purchase.
