I was about to think the laptop's network connection had gone bad. I took it to Geek Squad at Best Buy and they told me they would charge I think $80 to send it in for inspection. I took it to another Geek Squad at another Best Buy store. This guy said it might be the cable (which I was thinking about the whole time). They didn't have cables for my laptop so I ordered from Revain. Got it, it worked and still works. I saved about $65. Hooray
