Haven't tried it yet...but my puppies love it; it smells ok to me...that's as far as I'll go. But now - after having to judge the taste - wait a minute... Well, I ate a pebble. It's hard on the teeth, but surprisingly, it rubs up a lot better with a sip of water. As a cook I taste dry hay, possibly old flakes and a vague aftertaste; that weird aftertaste you get when you lick a stone. (Childhood memories) However, the smell dissipates immediately...it was neither terrible nor exciting; However, I thought of the banality of having to eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner... Back to my review; I would never be so excited and "crazy" if it was served to me three times a day...judging by the puppies; it's damn delicious! An afterthought: It produces compact, semi-dry worms that scoop without mush and easily detach from the carpet! This in itself is a bonus point.
