I bought this for my new iPad Air and after reading previous reviews I was concerned about the fit so I called the company and checked the model number and asked questions. Undecided whether to order blue or pink but I chose pink and regretted not getting blue. I think I was thinking more of the rose gold inside, but it's definitely pink, which goes well with the grey. The plastic is still there, there are no plans to remove it. Works great, no problem! The only downside for me is that it's a bit heavier than I expected and I'll be using it for travel so I want the lightest I can carry. Great pen storage so it never gets lost. Sleep and wake up by opening/closing the lid and it's well positioned. Good product!
