Review on 🐢 Merrick Backcountry Grain-Free Dry Dog Food Infused with Raw Ingredients & Healthy Grains by Melissa Dean

favorite in the diet. Rotation

I believe in changing our dogs food every few months to ensure variety and a balanced diet. It seems to make them happy and excited before eating. I'm currently switching between Wellness Core and Merrick Backcountry Raw. Both brands have great reputations so I'm happy with the quality I offer and our dogs love both but there seems to be a little more excitement when a Merrick bag is opened. Maybe it's raw nuggets, I'm not sure, but they love it, so that's the point. I gave it 5 stars because overall it's an excellent product and we were very satisfied. That doesn't mean you need to know a few things before you buy. First, uncooked nuggets don't spread well throughout the package. You'll find that they're grouped by area, so it's best to mix up the food a bit when scooping it out. It's easy and seems to guarantee that you'll get a few raw nuggets at most, if not all, meals. Second, the food is expensive and the largest bag only weighs 20 pounds compared to 24-30 pounds from other brands. I am willing to pay for quality but if I had the will it would be nice to have a larger bag with more savings per ounce. Overall this is a great meal that I would highly recommend to anyone.
