This radio took a full 6 hours to charge in the sun after I received it. I used a flashlight, not a very good one but it's safer to live in an emergency, for about 2 hours, then plugged it in to charge for about 4 hours until it was fully charged again. I haven't charged my phone with it yet, but the battery doesn't seem to last all that long? I like the device and wanted it for the radio and crank charging capability. For that purpose, it's a great deal for the price.
