I've always seen other hobbyists talking about this nifty little tool. I've found that this not only helps in applying glue accurately to the targeted areas, but also saves on glue distribution. The stainless pin keeps the nozzle flow open. Just keep up with that pesky little needle. I suggest attaching a small magnet or strip to a work mat or somewhere you can hold a pin until you're ready to remove the glue.
