You need to add a star disc

. This kit did the job as described but only after adding a star washer between the post and the plate. Otherwise, as many note, the disk will come loose and spin. Also, the threaded post is made of lightweight aluminum rather than steel. But be sure to use lube to keep it from getting stuck in the towing head. For my BMW330i the pin was too long and went all the way to the socket but I was able to get it to work. It's been stable for a month.
