Review on 🌀 Premium Replacement Filters for Winix 5500-2 Air Purifier - HEPA & Activated Carbon Combo Pack, Part # 116130 by Noah Lewis

I bought Winix 5500-2 more than two years ago. I changed the filter last year and paid $65 for an official Winix replacement. Before I did that, I contacted Winix and asked them why the filters cost half the price of an air purifier and if there were any coupons or anything else to offset their ridiculous cost. They responded with a suggestion to look for a third-party branded filter. So I searched and couldn't find anything with a black charcoal filter like the original and lots of feedback about filters that didn't fit properly or smelled really bad right out of the box. So I spent $65 and paid for it. When the Winix red light came on this year I looked again for a cheaper filter from another manufacturer and found this one - AirClean 1. Holy smokers. Received it today so I can't confirm the quality or durability of the filter but I know it doesn't smell bad, it fits perfectly and the black carbon filter is high quality just like the original. With a steep discount from Winix (which dropped the price to $50), this is the brand I'll be looking for next year. Thank you Airclean!
