Charging only works to charge the phone. When I connect to my car to use Android Auto, my phone often loses connection due to the cable. Try a different cable in case the cable I'm using is defective. I've tried all the cables I've bought and none of them hold up when used in my car. Magic tells me there seems to be a problem with my car. The dealer looked at the port and found no problems. The original cable that came with the phone is not yet defective. As of today, Magic refuses to have any further contact with me. I was ready to act, but now I may just have to go back and look elsewhere. More tests.
