UPDATE: This continues to work poorly and seems to be getting worse. We'll probably need a new one from a different brand to keep using it --- and it's been very useful for a variety of things! Very disappointed. After about a month of use, the timer now gets stuck at certain points during the countdown, especially when started from a time >30 minutes. Initially we were very happy with this timer as it is easy to use. The dial is easy to adjust, the beep is moderately loud and does not need to be turned off when the shutter is released. It was helpful for our children to imagine how time flies. We tried not turning the knob and playing roughly for more than 55 minutes and are disappointed that it doesn't work.
