Review on 🔫 PEET SafeKeeping Dryer & Dehumidifier: Optimal Solution for Gun Safes & Cabinets by John Holliday

I needed something to keep the gun dry for a long time. That works great. I assume that high end dehumidifiers can sense the humidity level and turn off when not needed, but for the price this works great. I'd rate it higher (for the price) except that the included AC plug doesn't make contact with the wires for user installation. As shown in the picture, it is not on the cable, so the cable can be fed through a small hole drilled in the wall or bottom of the safe). The connector is an IDC (Insulation Slotted Connector) connector and the pins, designed to cut through the insulation to make contact with the wires, did not make contact with the wires when assembled according to the instructions. Not being an IDC fan I threw it away and hooked up the 2 wire cable properly to replace the 14 gauge meter. Anyway, I needed the extra length. I would seriously recommend discarding the supplied connector and asking someone who knows what they are doing to install a decent connector with proper insulation, heat shrink tubing etc.
