Your friend for delivery and avoiding long queues at the post office

If you sell goods or have a small business to deliver things, this makes life a lot easier. Using a thermal printer, print a standard 4" x 6" label used on many packages. I've used Dymo printers before, but I've never had one that lasted more than a year. Hope it survives, looks a lot stronger. You must purchase thermal labels for this information. And thermal labels are... well, heat sensitive, so keep them out of the sun and hot places as they will degrade over time (that's why they're in black plastic bags). This device is easy to set up. and get to work. And it's compact. Fits most desks, I keep my monitor behind a monitor that hangs from my arm so it doesn't take up much space. Goods and take them to the post office, they may be time limited and don't scan them, and it looks like you printed the label and paid for it, but never delivered the goods to the carrier (e.g. USPS). Unfortunately, the remedy is to wait in line (we have ridiculously long lines now) and ask the clerk to manually scan your mail. Packages. They will, but then you end up in line where you don't want to be. The only solution I know of for this is to find a post office somewhere near you (pssst, near where I work, there's one in a small town you use a lot) or go at an unpopular time; so NOT first thing in the morning or midday when some people have an hour to try and run personal errands in life. So maybe 2pm if you can handle that. Or ask your clerk when they have the slowest time of the day and week.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
