Between two children, a dog and until recently a very old cat we have used several store bought bottles of Kirby Heavy Traffic Pretreat Shampoo. As our Kirby salesperson showed us during our Kirby demo, she sprayed the stain onto her choice of carpet until it got wet, then used the head of the pre-treat bottle to rub the stain into the stain. She will move to another place and do the same. Then, holding an old rag, she went back to the first stain and wiped it vigorously with the rag. Miraculously the stain disappeared. I've since started ordering this from Revain. I've used almost an entire bottle in our family van to just get rid of stains on carpets, using the same method we were shown way back when we got our first Kirby. I don't know how this product does what it does, but I've personally seen it remove chewing gum in carpet, vomit, urine, ketchup, crayola marker, coffee, and it's even better at cleaning a chimney stain on carpet hide . in front of the mantel. We also use it as directed on the bottle to spray onto the carpet 5 minutes before wet vacuuming. This is really a great product. we are sold
