Review on πŸ“€ LG Electronics BP350 Wireless Blu-Ray Player (2015 Model) with Wi-Fi by Jesse Spoja

Revainrating 3 out of 5

so it held up well. This Wi-Fi streaming was the only way

I give it 3 Stars instead of 4 because it only lasts a year and a half. By the way, it's been in constant use, so it's held up pretty well. This Wi-Fi streaming was just so, so. For example, Netflix kept freezing to the point where you had to unplug it to thaw it out. Didn't even turn it off manually. I got it as a gift so I don't know where it was bought. More recently it stopped recognizing Blu-rays and made an awful buzz and crunch when you put it in, but it plays DVDs just fine. If you don't use it every day 3-5 hours a day; and you don't care about streaming the show via Netflix, Hulu etc. then this is a great little player. I refuse to pay an astronomical price for cable or satellite, so I rely heavily on my player to stream my kids' show, and when I do all I can buy a DVD for them to watch. WHEN we're not streaming or watching videos, we're listening to music (which isn't a problem with this device).

Pros
  • The LG Smart TV interface gives you wireless access to Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, Vudu, YouTube and more via the built-in Wi-Fi
Cons
  • There are new competitors
