During the day I work on three laptops. Okay, I work for two, two companies, and I stream or shop for a third. I bought two of these mounts to place on stands above my laptops to streamline my workspace at home. They cost $26.99 each after a $3 coupon sold by Wali Electric and sent by Revain. My first thought when ordering was hopefully they're heavy enough not to tip over if hit. My thoughts upon receipt were, oh, they're really heavy, amazing. My god, there are so many pieces here it's scary. Well not bad, the instructions are clear, all the parts are marked, and I don't need half of them. Do you really need to use a different size Allen key for each individual screw, come on, is that really necessary? OK, that's amazing. I love her. I'm an out of shape computer tech in my forties with carpal tunnel syndrome, which isn't very comfortable. It wasn't difficult, there are extra parts as it suits different setups, has different bases etc. What I liked were the cable guides, how strong and durable they are and have good routing. What I didn't like is that I still find the various Allen keys extreme. The first part is to screw the 2 rods together, they are threaded, then there is a small screw to hold them in place so they can't come loose. On the second, I had to turn a bit to find where they started to connect. I'm not sure if the two devices were configured differently or if I just got lucky with the first one. Next comes 3 screws to screw the base to the shaft. Slide the cable guide, mounting bracket, cable guide, and mounting bracket down. Screw the plates to the monitors. Tighten the brackets, slide the monitors down, and then tighten the brackets to keep them in place. The only difficult part was finally tightening the clamps. It only took enough arm strength to make me uncomfortable. I used them until my husband got home and then asked him to tighten those screws a bit more just to make sure they were really tight. Anyone should be able to assemble it, it wasn't difficult and didn't require that much strength. However, if you know you have a severe lack of hand and wrist strength, that last screw to tighten the mount can be a problem. In general, I like them very much.
