Well, my husband has been cutting his own hair for about 15 years and has had the same clippers all that time. He's oiled them and taken them apart, but I mean, come on, that $15 set from Walmart 15 years ago is going to die eventually. And I think that moment was about 5 years ago. He always cuts his long hair on top and I have a cut that he has been doing for me since we started dating. I also took it upon myself to cut his hair during the pandemic and I can't tell you how much controversy this old Val caused for clinging to each other because it took 30 to 40 minutes to he actually cut all his hair. plus tied with a 6 foot string. It was terrible. Well I FINALLY stood my ground and told him I'm going to order something new. Enter, this amazing tool! He had a charge of about 25% right out of the box and I cut his hair and faded it all in about 15 minutes, then he cut it about 2 passes each side (it's a V shape). No repeating the same sections over and over again, no pulling your hair out, no pulling the cord, just a quick and painless haircut. This is actually the second one I've bought as my husband knocked the first one off the ottoman he was sitting on the tile, the blade popped out and our dog ran away with one of the pieces before we could grab it and put it down. Together again. But this second one we've had for at least 8 months at the moment and no kidding, after fully charging it after the first cut it only dropped to 30% and I went ahead and just dropped it on the charger. this morning. We've had his full haircut, haircut, beard trim, and how I "shave" my legs for at least 8 months without full load protection and he's still at 30%. We could probably make it by the end of the year on that first full charge if I hadn't stopped charging it right now. Overall I am very happy with this set of scissors. It cuts really well, holds a load like crazy, and I love that it all fits in a little bag that's about 1/3 the size of a standard hard shell clipper set, making it super easy to slip in your suitcase can throw when you travel or take a long weekend.
