Review on DEEPCOOL Gamma Archer CPU Air Cooler with 120mm Fan for Intel and AMD Processors - High Airflow Design by DoYun Kim ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not perfect quality, there is a small defect.

Suitable for cold processors, there are no declared dissipated 95 watts, a maximum of 50 - 60. The Xeon E3 1270 processor warmed up in a stress test to 80 degrees and this was just 4 minutes, I didn’t drive further, they set normal cooling. Then they put it on the old Intel Core 2 Duo, and even then in the stress test the temperature was up to 63, although with the native boxed cooler it was rarely higher than 56. Perhaps this cooler would be more effective if the contact patch were made larger so that it covered the entire processor cover, and polishing would be at least a little.

Pros
  • - Quiet in noise, although the revolutions are decent - 120mm fan - good airflow - suitable for many sockets
Cons
  • - there is no declared dissipation up to 95 watts, it will cope with a maximum of processors up to 60 watts - on 775, the socket is not so easy to install, there on many motherboards, there is something from all sides, either a RAM, a bridge radiator, or conduits, or a power supply - very poor contact patch, small and not polished at all - 3 pin connection

Its pros: Well cools not very hot stones, quiet, universal mount and easy installation, price Has cons: 3pin cooler, but given the noise of its operation, it's not critical
