The initial version of this with base firmware had some limitations but Magewell listened and fixed most of them. Now you can get good 1080p60 at 8Mbps or you can do 4Mbps dual stream. The ability to make multiple connections and pair with your phone makes it a great tool for working on the go, or if you have a computer capable of running the Switch software but might have a coding issue , you can swap him out with that guy. It's also only 5V, so a USB battery is ideal. I really wish it had a higher data rate, But the built-in internal storage and the external storage feature are great for this backup when your main ISO storage is going bad. I currently use it as a backup as I use my LiveU as my primary due to its linking abilities. Again, I wish it had a better writing method of its own, not just a bitrate. I also wish it had NDI built in to at least feed it, but overall it's a great product. I will say based on my experience with magewell that we may not see many firmware additions for this product as in their latest product they removed everything important and released a new encoder. But definitely worth the money due to its flexibility and ease of use.
