Great if you are an electrical engineer.

Seriously, that thing was. terrible. When it arrived it was dead and I made a fuss about it to get a refund. They said just throw away the broken block, so I said fuck it, threw it on the bottom of the box and forgot about it. Until one day I got bored. On a whim, I decided to play Frankenstein a bit and see if I could bring this creation to life. Took it apart and HOLY SHIT THE SOLDER POINT WAS AWESOME HORRIBLE. Serious. Whoever builds these things, how do you look at yourself in the mirror every morning without spitting in your face with your horrible, horrible soldering skills? I think I've ever seen one of the roughest solder pads. But I'm an engineer, I solve practical problems all the time, so I pulled out the solder and got to work. About an hour later the bad solder was removed and replaced, the parts reinstalled, and I decided to power this thing up and fire it up. The quality I got from it was amazing. Of course I also put an insulating sleeve around the power cables to reduce inductive noise (I thought so since I've been there) and a few other useful things, but yes I was able to get a great result in the long run. quality from it. I've come to the conclusion that the same is true for many low quality audio devices that most of the problem is bad soldering, but yes. The thing does what it should. But only because I disassembled it and completely rebuilt it. Don't waste your time unless you are also a soldering iron maniac and have too much time on your hands.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Modern

Not quite Hollywood levels of sound quaility, but better than the mic in your DSLR!
