Better than expected. Wears a gold stud with a black floppy back. The gold rivet has not lost color and is holding up well. It occurred once every two to three weeks with constant wear and was mostly preventable (during meals). I didn't lose the ball, although maybe it was luck. However, I always have a bag of accessories with me. Finally, the flexible attachment doesn't click on my teeth, which is my main goal when buying them, and the added bonus is that they're very graceful to put on and take off. I could see that they can be a bit tight on some people but that usually happens to me and they fit really well. Maybe it's because of the flexibility of the jewelry. There was a period of adjustment to this, but before the labret I wore a sling and that might help. The back of the lip didn't dig into my skin and settle there. Basically it worked for me.
