My 30 year old sports car is, well, 30 years old. The electrical system creaks and the lighting, while fine then, is very weak by today's standards and can discharge excessively quickly. Looks high tech, suits my much newer cars but not good for preserving the authenticity of older semi-exotics. THESE bulbs are much brighter than the original OSRAM K5618 10mm x 41mm string lights, but are almost the same color. And if they are polarity dependent (fairly normal for LEDs) I haven't encountered them on any lamp installation. Ideal.
