Wow. I have a Tahoe with a black interior and the lights were so dim I had to light a match to read anything. I bought another set of supposedly "brighter" LEDs that were as dim as halogens, only with cool fluorescent light. No thank you. THIS IS VERY bright, just right, and the warm white is so much better than that cool bluish white. All bulbs worked immediately but went out when installed. When I use them all, they work perfectly. My car has 4 lights (it's a big car). The previous owner put some LED bulbs in there before I got them, they worked fine but were pretty dim for a modern LED replacement. I put halogen lights in there and they were about the same brightness and only heated up when on. I ordered a pair of these and the difference is amazing. Not a fan of cool white at all, especially on my 50 year old Buick. So when I ordered new backlight lenses to replace my yellow and cracked ones, I was looking for replacements for the warm white bulbs. These LED replacement bulbs are just the right color with more intensity and less heat in my opinion. As per some other comments, the pad diameter is slightly smaller. This light puts out the perfect amount of light/lumens, is soft and doesn't glare in the back of my work truck. I chose not to mount it on the front dome because it's too bright for privacy and I can use my phone's backlight for items I drop on the floor.
