Bought for growing plants in the basement. It was too strong for the room and too warm. I ended up using it outside the room. The entire basement is now dry. I run it through the drain in the floor with a hose. When I first plugged it in, I thought the drain hose I bought didn't have a rubber seal. The tank filled up. I saw a bottom disc attached to the hose and this prevented the detachable reservoir from filling. Don't buy a cheap device without the power of a star. You may end up paying more for electricity than the cost of a better device.
