Review on 📱 Encased SlimShield Series: Protective Grip Case with Holster Clip for iPhone X/Xs – Smooth Black (2017/2018 Release) by Ashley Gomez

I have used a similar case and holster from Seidio for a long time. As a retired engineer, I've always preferred to have my phone on my hip for quick access (calculations, photos, etc. and random calls). jerks. But I often have keys, screws and other weird metal objects in my pockets that can damage the phone. After the wood chopping Seidio holster broke, this Encased combo was the closest replacement. I like it. As for the case, I'm not a fan of split cases, but this one has a split line very close to the top of the phone, so you probably won't pull it out of the holster and accidentally split the two pieces of the case. The lock also seems secure enough, but is easy to undo when needed for a phone connection. Cutouts are precise for phone buttons, camera and speakers. The case felt a bit slippery at first, but I swear after a month of use it got a little more grippy. It's also hard to see, but there's a small notch around the perimeter of the case that enhances the tactile grip. It's subtle, but it works. I would describe this case as a medium level of protection - the height of the rim above the glass surface (1mm) is sufficient to prevent tearing when dropped onto a smooth floor. That bezel doesn't appear to interfere with the use of a full-surface glass. The edges are absolutely straight. I don't wirelessly charge very often, but I've had no trouble charging in my car bag. The cover is safe. Easy to get on and off with no play or rattling. The phone lock is typical, reliable and fairly easy to use. I love these designs where the phone faces inwards with a slightly soft, fuzzy finish. The entire holster is made from a material that feels nice but doesn't seem to hold dirt, oil or stains. The belt clip is also secure and fits all my clothes. With the last 4-5 holsters, the spring hinge of the belt clip usually breaks after a few years or after a strong impact. In terms of durability, I can't yet rate this Encased model. Like I said, I like her.
