    Fits perfectly with Cargoloc crossbars

    They work great with $50 Cargoloc crossbars. I only tightened them all the way because I left them on the crossbars forever. Then I just removed the crossbars when I didn't need them. The included straps seem pretty good but they are a little short, I would suggest getting stronger and longer ones.

    broke the first time setting up a kayak

    After spending over an hour putting these J-Rods together and figuring out how to mount them on my Pioneer storage rack, we have the kayak on it mounted to make sure it was seated properly and one of them broke. Of course, the return window for these bars has now passed, so it looks like I'm stuck with a busted set of J-Bars and another set that I wouldn't trust. very disappointed.

    Just what we need

    We have a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe that we installed them on. While the post wobbles a bit (the factory crossbar is a bit wider than the post), we've set up 2 kayaks on the Santa Fe and have taken freeways and winding roads to the rivers and had no problem with it. There's a bit of trembling that you can noticeably see when you're going behind the Santa Fe with kayaks set up, but unless you tie them down, the kayaks won't go anywhere.

    Works great!: Camping

    The kayak stands arrived on time, well packaged and in excellent condition. We've taken two 10ft kayaks on hikes (about an hour and a half from our home) three times with no problems. Part of the ride was at highway speed and part on winding mountain roads. Our kayaks weigh about 50 pounds each and I tied them down with ratchet straps. After reading other reviews I didn't take the straps that came with the racks out of the box. I definitely recommend this product.

    Disappointing, waste of time!

    Doesn't fit my 2004 Xterra. The supplied carriage bolts are metric, not standardized. I've searched everywhere for a replacement M8 carriage bolt long enough (@90mm) for my stock roof rack. Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware do not sell metric carriage bolts. I ended up ordering them from Grainger. I only needed eight and had to buy 50 of these for $13 with $13 shipping. They just arrived today and as the length has been increased the screw head has become larger. It won't fit. This roof rack was

    No instructions but there are many tutorials on youtube easy to assemble after watch. The trunk lay lightly and firmly on the car. We removed the kayaks and the rack was very sturdy. We purchased extra bow and stern ropes to attach to the front and rear of the vehicle. Everyone I've spoken to has suggested this, and I think it's a good idea too.     Great value for money: Car carrier and holder

    Ideal carrier for our kayaks. The instructions that came with it were just a diagram with numbered steps which was a bit confusing for me as I wasn't into super mechanics but I adjusted it after watching a YouTube video and had no problems. I just need my husband's help with the final step of attaching it to my roof rack, which is pretty easy too. I was a little concerned that the bolts weren't long enough for my luggage rack, but with my husband's help tightening them we're perfect and they're

    Bottom brackets needed replacing

    I give these 4 stars although I had some trouble installing them. You seem strong. My problem is that I have a Heavy Duty Rhino Rack that is 1 7/8" tall and 1 5/8" wide. weren't long enough. After looking at dozens of these J-Bars, they all seem pretty much the same, so I'd probably run into this issue with any other brand as well. So I took longer screws (75mm) for the bottom bracket. I also didn't like the idea of the handles, I'm pretty sure they will come loose so I also got nylon lock nuts
