Maybe 30% brighter than standard bulbs, the best you can do with halogen bulbs.

I replaced a set of 3 year old Sylvania Xtravision bulbs with these Philips Xtremevision bulbs. It is slightly lighter which means they are definitely not 100% lighter than the advertised products. Xtravision claims they are 30% brighter than OEM bulbs. My rough estimate is that the Xtravision bulbs are 10-15% brighter than the stock bulbs and these Xtremevision bulbs are 20-30% brighter than the stock bulbs with minor distance improvements. Be sure to clean, polish (if necessary) and align your headlights. for best results. You can only do so much within a 55 watt halogen power envelope. It burns brighter, hotter and therefore lasts much shorter than standard bulbs. I prefer the lack of tinting on xtremevision lens, the natural, warmer spectrum of light offers better visibility in the rain compared to the cooler spectrum of tinted lamps or LEDs. The visibility I can get is worth the extra cost. I only plan on replacing them every 12-18 months. Finally, do not put LED bulbs in halogen reflector housings, you just blind all other drivers without increasing the distance due to light scattering due to optical shift. If you have projector headlights, opt for LEDs instead of those short-lived halogen bulbs.
