It's thicker than most license plate frames (overall thickness is about 9/16 of an inch), so be sure to study your current frame carefully before purchasing will not fit the back of my 2018 Audi A4 because the rim trim was too thick to fit the gap under the rear camera. It also didn't fit my 2016 Volvo XC90 because that car had screws sticking out. Auto and nuts that attach to the outside of the panel. The Volvo bolts aren't long enough for this thick frame - just a few turns past the mounting points on this frame, not enough to secure the nuts. This frame will only work well if you have enough board space and plenty of extra thread in the fasteners (about 1/4" more than what you're already using) to accommodate the extra thickness. This mount has 1/ 4 inch plastic between the plate and the vehicle.
