When the lights first arrived I was concerned about the way they were packaged. 4 lightbulbs in one of those yellow soft envelopes. It seems like a very bad decision to send something so fragile. But to my satisfaction all bulbs work. Now on to the bulbs themselves. There has been talk of whether these bulbs turn on "instantly" or if there is a "warm-up" period to reach full brightness. I can say that there is a short warm-up period, about 5 seconds. Therefore, although not instantaneous, the warm-up time is very short. I will say that these bulbs are bright. The description says "1200 lumens" which is the same lumens as other bulbs I have. However, the packaging says 1800 lumens, so they are actually a bit brighter than my other bulbs. That wouldn't be a problem if I was only using these bulbs in one place, but they mixed in with my old bulbs. So in my kitchen you can tell which new bulbs have 1800 lumens and which old ones have 1200 lumens. The color temperature (2700K) is the same, but significantly brighter. I personally don't like these 4 pin bulbs (G24/GX24) because they tend to be (relatively) expensive and don't last as long as advertised (my previous bulbs only lasted 3 years). . Let's see how close I am to the 11 year claim for these lamps.
