The fabric is comfortable and the zipper is reliable. I love that it has a plastic pouch inside that snaps shut so I don't have to worry about my son dropping the lip bumper when he opens it. That! My son was pretty rough with him and he put up with everything. The outer fabric is durable enough to withstand washing and dries quickly. The inner bag is made of durable plastic, held in place with a rubber band so it doesn't fall out when opened. The clip is made of thick metal and is easy to attach and detach. I looked at a lot of cases and was worried because the retain-it was more expensive and there weren't many reviews. I couldn't find anything similar either, so didn't know how it differed from the standard mouthguard cases sold everywhere. I have purchased the retain-it and standard mouthguard with good reviews, although most reviews (including positive ones) have said that the plastic hinge breaks over time. I was so disappointed with the light plastic of the standard mouthguard case that I returned it immediately. Retain-It is more expensive but I expect it to last longer than other mouthguards.
