The physical design of the caliper is somewhat imperfect. I have had this caliper for a little over 3 years and the LCD electronic display is partially broken making it difficult to interpret the readings on the display. There is also a physical display that can be used, but I bought this unit for the LCD's ease of use. Another small complaint I have concerns the battery cover. I've found that when using calipers, I often unintentionally pull off the battery cover, draining the battery and turning the display off. I tried to solve this problem by putting masking tape on the battery cover. Photo annotation display not working. Also note the tape on the battery cover.
