As an insurance specialist, I had to rely on vendors to give me moisture readings for water damage. I have now used this meter a number of times to determine moisture levels in wood and drywall and to locate leaks in home applications. I can see how this would help anyone trying to track down a leak or see if the moisture has been removed enough to see if the damage doesn't get any better ie the buckle in the floor would stop falling no more. No matter how dry the parquet floor is. In the attached photo, I am using this to show my insurance client that the water issue in the claimant's kitchen has not been fully resolved as the reading is well over 10%.
