A few years ago I bought a cheap college laptop with a 256GB hard drive. It was getting too slow and I needed more storage, so I decided to upgrade to a 1TB SSD. I found the NTI Echo 2019 software on Amazon for $20 so of course I bought this kit which includes a USB to SATA adapter. The software was rated "Bestseller No. 1" by Amazon, so I took a leap of faith despite the first rating. I downloaded their program and installed it with no problems. I followed their instructions and was able to transfer my data in about 30-45 minutes (I walked away and let the laptop do its job). The laptop rebooted and worked great. I found that all my programs and files work correctly. Highly recommended if you've bought a new SSD.
