Unsafe and Unusable

I am an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector, Metallurgist and NQA1 Certified Nuclear Inspector, ASNT lvl 2 MT and PT and UT certified. And a member of the Society of Highlanders. This is to justify what I present here. The blade of the ax was torn off the axe. It was welded back on and poorly finished. The first photo shows the shoulder of the weld that was missed when grinding. The blade has been welded on both sides which means it is most likely a butt weld and not full penetration. It also indicates an underflow. The second photo shows a slag inclusion and the three unmarked circular areas are most likely pinholes or unpolished areas of non-melting. Blade. This tool is useless and unsafe to use. The lack of quality in a throwing blade is shameful if not downright criminal. This can harm an uneducated user.
