The Silca formula works great - just watch two YouTube videos. The advantage of this liquid formula over hard wax is that you don't have to boil and dip the chain. However, I dipped the entire necklace in a bottle of Silca formula. This will save you a lot of time if you don't want to mess with a slow cooker or melting wax on the stove. After your initial first application, all subsequent wax applications can be done from the applicator bottle. They recently updated the wax drying time recommendation to 24 hours. Basically you wait until the liquid binder formula has evaporated and only the wax and nanoparticles are left. Highly recommended if you drive a lot or want to extend the life of your transmission.
