Description of 🚴 SILCA Ultra Stealth Chain Wax for Bicycles

Hot Wax Performance with the convenience of liquid applicator bottle. SILCA lube utilizes the most lubricious additive in nan-scale Tungsten Di-sulfide. "Once riding, something magical happens – your drivetrain is pretty much completely silent. No matter what gear or RPM, the noise from your chain is likely going to be imperceptible above wind or more likely tyre noise. Everything certainly feels much smoother – pedalling and shifting alike." - ROAD.CC.

Poorly packaged, inadequate description

Thought it came with an applicator but the chain needs to be removed and loaded into a container. Unfortunately, neither the description nor the label says anything about it. When it arrived it was also leaking everywhere and there was a huge mess in the package.

Amazing lube - Bike Lube

Impressive lube, I've tried all the Cera, Squirt, Smoove, Pedro's Slick lubes, obviously it's been a long time since I've gone completely oil free, they' crap again, seriously, incredibly silky when you take the chain. After using it and comparing it to the rest, the chain has a flexibility that shows how little friction this lube creates, not to mention that it's also the least messy. that it is also easier to clean, it is very unpretentious and lasts a long time, you just have to give it the…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good

I use Silca's Super Secret Chain Lube on all 4 of my bikes. 2 road and 2 gravel bikes require special care and Silca's Super Secret Chain Lube is much cheaper to apply than buying chains, cassettes and front rings for these 4 bikes. It pays for itself many times over as these 4 bikes have virtually no chain or drive train wear and I put in about 7000 miles a year. I buy 4 ounces. Bottle every 3-4 months to refill chains after 50-100 miles of use and reapply after 2000 miles. The only downside…

Updated: good stuff, but not for dusty places

My mountain bike experience. When used as directed, this is the best chain lube. The only key is to apply it to a completely dry and clean chain, let it dry and then wipe off any excess. It should be stored at room temperature, not left in a cold garage, and then shaken very well before use. I've had mixed results with wax-based lubes in the past, but this stuff really works. This is a great summer lube, in the winter I use a different option for very wet conditions, although it still works…

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Will never go back to oil based lubes! The chain runs very smoothly and is very quiet. The cleaning process takes some time, but it's worth it. The Silca formula works great - just watch two YouTube videos. The advantage of this liquid formula over hard wax is that you don't have to boil and dip the chain. However, I dipped the entire necklace in a bottle of Silca formula. This will save you a lot of time if you don't want to mess with a slow cooker or melting wax on the stove. After your…

Great for roads, not so much for mud

Good things first: a really great lube in terms of grip and lubrication. Runs clean and works well, with good durability. Truly the perfect road riding lube when using immersion wax as a base lube and then topping it up to extend the intervals between full dips. On a road bike, I would pull the chain for cleaning and rewaxing at about 250-300 mile intervals, but this allowed me to increase my mileage to about 500 miles, greatly reducing the overall time and effort involved in my spectacular…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
