My mountain bike experience. When used as directed, this is the best chain lube. The only key is to apply it to a completely dry and clean chain, let it dry and then wipe off any excess. It should be stored at room temperature, not left in a cold garage, and then shaken very well before use. I've had mixed results with wax-based lubes in the past, but this stuff really works. This is a great summer lube, in the winter I use a different option for very wet conditions, although it still works reasonably well. Edit: Downgraded from 5 to 4 stars. If you use it in dusty areas the dust tends to really stick and you will end up with more wear than if you use another wax free lube. 2 hours on a dusty drive and my transmission is squeaking. I will continue to use the Silca during the winter and rainy months but this year has been exceptionally dry so it will likely be a while before it becomes practical for my local trips.
