Perhaps I didn't read the details of this calendar well enough, but I was hoping that I could start using it right away. However, this is a trivial aspect of the whole thing.The artwork is just as beautiful as it appeared in the photos.The spiral rings and the hanging apparatus seem to be sturdy enough. I believe that I won't get a completely accurate assessment of that until after months of use.My complaint is that it is only made out of paper and only packaged in a plastic sleeve. It was placed in a box with other items. Whereas it was just paper, it slid around in the box and it was all bent by the time it got to me. I have had it laying down flat for 2 months and so it is now in pretty good shape, but I am disappointed in the packaging. I would be embarrassed if I had given it as a gift. I am glad I could get it flat, I just now wonder how it will hold up throughout the year.
