I bought this device to use it to connect my phone to my car stereo (for Android Auto) and use the fast charger to charge my phone faster. It works, but only in the simplest sense. Modern "smart" fast chargers only work if the phone can tell the charger its capabilities. Since part of the data cable is only connected to the vehicle, this connection is not possible. The fast charger provides power, but is not sufficient for fast charging. This offers no advantage over a direct connection to the main unit. Eventually, after a few months of use, the connection became unreliable and the cable began to fail. it's cheap, but I don't recommend it if you're trying to achieve the same goal.
