Works as I expected.

Works great. I have a 2018 Crosstrek Premium and a Galaxy S8 phone. I've found that the USB port on the center console only keeps my phone charged when using Android Auto (with GPS and audio streaming) and doesn't actually charge the phone. My car only has 1 USB port for power/data but there is an additional cigarette lighter socket next to it. So I bought this cable and plugged the USB power/data connector into the stock USB port on my Subaru and the USB power connector into the cigar lighter…

Pros
  • Two USB connectors, one for USB power and data, the other for USB power only. Length: 60 cm
Cons
  • not reliable

Deserves zero stars

Does not work. General. It has two USB-A ports. One of them works - the one that connects the two cables together. This USB-A connector transmits power and data. The other USB-A connector is a dummy cable. No matter what you connect to it, neither data nor power is transmitted. Another issue I had was that the cable for the secondary USB-A cable (the one that doesn't do anything) is very short. Even if it worked, many people would probably need an additional USB extender. I could live with that

Pros
  • Allows you to connect 1 USB-C device to 2 USB ports on your PC for more power.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Barely worked and didn't last long.

I bought this device to use it to connect my phone to my car stereo (for Android Auto) and use the fast charger to charge my phone faster. It works, but only in the simplest sense. Modern "smart" fast chargers only work if the phone can tell the charger its capabilities. Since part of the data cable is only connected to the vehicle, this connection is not possible. The fast charger provides power, but is not sufficient for fast charging. This offers no advantage over a direct connection to the…

Pros
  • This problem can easily be solved with a USB 2.0 Y-cable.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
