Review on 🧦 Multicolored 6 Pack of Compression Socks for Men by Johnnie Bowlan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best of 4 brands I've bought from Revain

I had deep vein thrombosis a year ago. One of the consequences was the weakening of blood circulation. I developed significant swelling in my ankles and feet. I fought the problem doggedly and quickly realized that my life would be inconceivable without compression stockings. Knowing nothing about brands I bought three from Revain myself and have been wearing them daily for the past six weeks. These three brands are: Pembrook Men's Compression Socks (6 Pack) - L/XL - Black, Grey, Navy - Graduated Muscle Support, Relief and Recovery ($5 per pair) Iseasoo "Copper" Compression Socks for Men and Women - 7, 6 cm. pairs, 15-30 mmHg art. ($4 per pair) Scholl's Premium Diabetic & Cardio Men's Casual Socks [2 Pieces] ($5/pair) My general observation is that Pembrook socks meet my needs significantly better than others. I rated the socks in four categories: support (specifically anti-puffiness), comfort, breathability (body heat management), and value. Support: Pembroke finished 1st; Iseaso 2nd; Should be 3. This category is a bit like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Pembrook socks slip over the feet and shins with moderate force and stay in place. These are high socks that go just below the knee (I'm 5ft 9in). It is dangerous for me to climb higher. Pembroke caviar hugged, choked on my feet. Even after a whole day they feel good and swell very well. Iseasoo also hits just below the knee. They are very difficult to put on and feel too tight. However, they achieve my goal of fighting edema. everything is fine with me However, they offer significantly less support and feel like relatively loose athletic socks that don't encourage compression (of which I have plenty). I was very surprised by the apparent lack of compression. I'm not a scientist, but they didn't help me any more than regular and much cheaper socks. Comfort: Pembrook was 1st, Scholls 2nd, Iseasoo 3rd. For me, the Pembrook is in the sweet spot between compression and comfort. They are just beautiful to wear. Scholls are just as comfortable as regular socks but don't compress too much. the fight. And while it's snug, the fabric (which is vastly different from Pembrook's) allows it to slide over your feet. It leaves marks on my calves as it (sometimes) folds in half and "bites my legs." I'm already avoiding wearing them until the rest gets dirty." It's a highly breathable cotton/polyester blend. Wearing long socks in August will probably generate too much heat. The Pembrook was ok and I give it a go very high marks. Scholls is almost entirely polyester. However, these are just loosely woven mid-calf socks, so the heat didn't make me overly uncomfortable. Iseasoo is "a unique copper-impregnated, breathable, moisture-wicking fabric" which means I don't knows what the fabric is. It was definitely uncomfortably hot. I couldn't wait to get them off at the end of the day. Cost: $4 to $5, they're pretty much all the same. Scholls is the cheapest and should be. It has Didn't perform as I expected Hands down One final note I have mid-calf white athletic socks (I couldn't find a brand!) which one offer significantly better compression, comfort and breathability than Scholls. I can wear them with shorts and not look weak. I bought them at Costco. I will buy more for walking on a warm day (short pant days). I will no longer buy schools. I will buy another pack of Pembroke. I could buy an Iseaoo for the winter but I would try to find a larger size (although I'm only of average build). Bottom Line: Compression stockings are SO important to so many people. I hope this review helps with your decisions.
