Purchasing a Huepar 3D Green Beam Laser was a HUGE disappointment! I just went with the green laser because it's better for outdoor use. I used my new laser on a cloudy day with filtered sunlight. I haven't seen anything over 10 feet! I was wearing black jeans and even against such a contrasting background I could barely see the beam. I packed the spirit level and waited until late in the evening when my work station was completely in the shade. When I was in the shade at the end of the day I could see the beam about 15 feet away. At 30 feet I needed a white background to see the beam clearly. It's also worth noting that in non-orthogonal applications such as inclined ramps or stair stringers, the beam pulses approximately every 5 seconds; not a complete disaster, but very distracting. I should have paid more attention to the product description that reveals this "feature" because the blinking is very annoying. I must confess that if I could use this level under normal outdoor conditions, I would give it the highest praise. The three beams are easy to control by simply switching between the ones you want to activate. A few tweaks to the tripod will ensure that your tripod will most likely work with this product. If you only use this level indoors, this is a good choice. However if you have outdoor projects you should consider an alternative product or maybe buy a Huepar receiver but I don't know if that would make a difference or not.
