TL:DR - Printed to match price - Do not leave nuts on studs - Instructions required/not included. short and simple, let's get to the good stuff. I started with a printer, let's call it the "V1", which had a thick aluminum platform covered with a layer of Bautack. It was great to start! I've had few adhesion issues other than excessive adhesion. My buildtak was torn because of the plywood. So I searched Amazon for a replacement and finally got in touch with Anycubic's OEM. I have to say I was very happy with their customer service, it took them about a day to get back but let's face it they are overseas. I was told about Ultrabase and decided it was worth a try. When I received it, my first impression was that the packaging was odd... The bed box was in a box that contained a basic set of airbags. After the product packaging is removed... protective foam! Anycubic really didn't want this thing to get damaged! LOVE IT! When I opened the box I found the bed was unassembled and there were no instructions. οI contacted the support team again to find out how to assemble the bed correctly... 1. There is a film on both the aluminum bed and the glass. Read Step 4 before deleting them2. Insert the screws into the holes in the corners of the bed.3. Use the nuts to tighten them up to the level of the base plate.4. Remove the foil from both plates.5. Align and assemble the panels.6. Remove the nuts from the screws/bolts and place the rubber pieces on the motif. If you leave the nuts on the pins when you put the bed on the platform, it won't rotate all the way in. Remove the nuts and just use the rubber rings...learned the hard way! 7. Remove the old printer with bed and disconnect the wiring from the motherboard/frame. This can be tricky due to the amount of hot glue being placed EVERYWHERE! 8. I recommend not cutting the original zip ties...take your time rethreading the cords9. Bring new cables and tie them to the existing wiring.10. Make sure the connector ends are in the correct position and reassemble the printer. After warming the platform up to printing temperature, I let it sit to make sure the platform parts were securely fastened. (That might just be in my head, but whatever it is, I did it). The pressure was great! Things stuck to the bed with no substrate and once cooled they didn't seem to stick! SUPER EASY REMOVAL! Pros: Great packaging - lots of protection. Easy installation. Great prints without worrying about gluing. Looks much better than the original "clamshell". - Anycubic, you could do better with some instructions! The aluminum part and the glass were not assembled. - I just think that such a simple thing should be "assembled at the factory". The level sensor does not work with the new bed. - this may not be a problem for some, but I liked the quick and easy alignment with the sensor.
