Review on ⏰ BN-LINK Short Period Repeat Cycle Intermittent Timer - Versatile 24 Hour Interval Timer for Day and Night Operations by Dave Brummet

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's ok not great but good

I tried two interval timers sold by Revain or at least made by Amazon. for an infinite loop for my hydroponics. I run it to power the air pump bubbler every 60 minutes for 30 minutes on time. To keep my pump from overheating and to give it a regular cool down period. is only 60 minutes, and 30 minutes is the longest time. It has this stupid daylight sensor that I have to wrap with tape because otherwise there's no way to 'turn off' the feature. I think the idea of a daylight sensor is really silly because, honestly, if you're growing veggies or other crops, 17 hours of daylight is the recommended average light. the sun shines for 14 hours in most places, after sunset you only need 3 hours of light. You can use a regular on-off timer for this. I don't see any significant use other than maybe for some rare cactus species or something like that. So far they've been reliable, but they get hot, which I don't like. means there is too much resistance inside for the small amount of amps going through it. It should be rated at 15 amps. but with the way it heats up, only 5 amps max, I really doubt it can handle a sustained load at 15 amps. Also, I ordered a few of these and the seller put the new brand stickers on top of the original brand. A little weird. I will add this image once Revain allows adding images to reviews again.
